Summer Pesto Club Sandwiches

Ingredients

  • 12 slices thin white club bread, lightly toasted
  • one 7-ounce container Giovanni Rana Basil Pesto
  • ½ cup mayonnaise
  • ¾ pound thinly sliced smoked turkey breast
  • 8 pieces cooked bacon, halved lengthwise
  • 2 ripe tomatoes, sliced into thin rounds
  • 8 slices butter lettuce
  • 1 avocado, sliced

Preparation

Brush one side of each slice of toast with 1 tablespoon pesto. Working in whatever order you like, layer the bread with the turkey, bacon, mayonnaise, tomatoes, lettuce, and avocado so that each sandwich contains 2 layers and 3 pieces of bread total. Skewer the sandwiches with toothpicks to secure.
